To solve this problem, Froggy makes up a story that Charlie is from a foreign country and can’t speak English. A Guide to the Candidates of the 2016 Presidential Election

By Kiran Dzur

As we leave November behind and head towards the end of the year, the presidentialelection is drawing nearer and nearer; it is now less than a year away. As candidates make speeches, take part in debates, and fundraise, members of the general public are putting up posters, attaching bumper stickers to their cars, and perhaps even going door to door to campaign for their candidate of choice. Get Back Day!

By William Cagle

A small, carpeted room, packed full of sweaty bodies of every age imaginable; a whirring, all-seeing eye peering down from above; a collection of people you once thought you’d never see again sitting on the floor and bellowing such nonsense as”Wahhhhhh” and “Ooga ooga”….
This may all sound like the description of some cult-like ritual taking place in smoke-filled chamber far below the earth, but in fact I’m describing an annual ritual that occurs right within the walls of our school: Get-Back Day.
Every year, on the day before Thanksgiving, we show how thankful we are by gathering together friends old and new, remembering those we’ve lost, and…singing about car horns.

Book Review: The Time Traveler's Wife

By: Alafair Turner

The Time Traveler’s Wife comprises volumes more than a simply entertaining story. Crafted intricately, woven through decades, developed in theme and in plot, this novel is absolutely quality literature. The theme encompasses love and how it grows and develops through time, based on the twists and turns of life and communication between two individuals.

The lead female character, Claire, lives a normal life outside of the fact that she is visited through out her childhood by her future husband, a time traveler. Henry suffered a severe car accident at a young age and from that point on jumped uncontrollably through the years, one moment in the present, the next, in his childhood bedroom. Various aspects of the story support this situation. Instead of making the novel science fiction, the author kept the

The lawn was decorated with items that made it more spooky. These items included a fog machine, dry ice, and a couple skulls. The mood was set with the awesome music, causing everyone to get hyped up.

'Cuz This is the Holidays

By: Shizheng Tie (JJ)

'Cuz this is the holidays. You don't know exactly when it began. It may be the fall of the first maple leaf; it may be the abrupt, surreptitious transition from lively green to mature, hearty yellow;it may be the subtle chilly breezes sweeping through the porch. But no matter how stealthily, the season of fiery, sultry summer had gone. Now it's the time for foggy breaths and steamy hot cider/tea/cocoa/pumpkin spice latte and evanescent snowflakes and ugly Christmas sweaters and homey fireplace.
